4 Fast Fall Quilling Paper Flowers

August 23, 2022

Follow along as I make 4 fast fall flowers that will add some seasonal color and texture to your autumn quilling.

It’s my favorite time to craft! Fall is almost here.

So I thought I’d celebrate by making up a whole bunch of fast fall flowers. They really do come together in no time. Most are just a few petals. And you won’t need any fancy quilling supplies for this tutorial. Just the tool of your choice and a bit of glue. If you do have a cork work board and some craft tweezers, they might come in handy, too.

So with just a few traditional quilling shapes plus a bit of 3D technique, I rolled 4 different types of flowers all with their own texture and form.

I chose all of my favorite autumn colors of quilling paper. A little crimson, some deep yellow, and a warm pumpkin, all from Quilled Creations. Plus some ivory as a neutral and Craft Harbor’s Leaf Green which is my absolute go-to for any leaves and stems.

But one of the best parts is that you can use them together or just pick your favorites to create the ultimate custom autumn quilling project! You can even change the paper width to what you’re comforatable with. I’m using 1/8″ here, but if you want more substantial flowers, you can absolutely use wider paper strips.

Don’t hide this video when fall is over though. Just change up the colors to make your spring or summer flowers too. You can even use the same leaves for multiple projects. I show all the how-tos in this video on making quilling paper leaves with a quilling comb.
